OMNI-WiFi has built its reputation for excellence in Wi-Fi technology by being responsive to the needs of our customers. In large part, the progress we have achieved in engineering state-of-the-art wireless equipment is the result of working closely with our clients to design and optimize these products so as to meet a wide range of different customer needs in a range of outdoor settings, based on the many variables posed by each environment. Our primary goal is to provide timely customer service, technical support, responsive managed service contracts, and extended product warranties to our customers. Our philosophy is to work together to develop and deliver consistent, reliable wireless products and service.
Technical Support
Free post-sale technical support is available via phone for ninety (90) days after purchase between the hours of 9 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Friday, and is available via email 24/7. Please also see a summary of our 'Managed Services' program below.
Standard Warranty
OMNI-WiFi products are guaranteed free from defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of ninety days from the date of purchase. If product failure is caused by defect in manufacture or workmanship, it will be repaired or replaced at manufacturer's option during this period. This excludes physical and electrical damage including damage from water, lightning, electric surge, vandalism, and internal or external physical breakage of any kind. Units found defective within this period will be exchanged for the purchaser for the price of shipping. The purchaser must ship the original product back before receiving a replacement unit.
Warranty Exclusions
OMNI-WiFi products cannot be guaranteed against damage from tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, or other natural disasters. Nor can OMNI-WiFi access points be guaranteed against abuse including dropping, incorrect voltage application, wire and cable stress. Should such damage occur, OMNI-WiFi may, at its discretion, replace failed components at a reduced cost to the original purchaser.
Note: If the weathertight enclosure has been opened, all warranties are null and void.
Extended Warranties
OMNI-WiFi offers an extended warranty on all wireless equipment -- transmitters, repeaters, and client premises equipment. This warranty includes free replacement of any component that fails after the 90-day warranty period for an extended period of one (1) year. The extended warranty covers the expense of shipping the new part to the customer for shipments within the continental U.S. and requires all customers to pay for shipping the failed part back to OMNI-WiFi. The new part will be shipped upon receipt of the failed equipment. Exclusions to the standard extended warranty include damage from lightning, water, shock (from dropping), physical abuse, and electrical surge. Any warranty is void if the weathertight product case has been opened.
Managed Services
OMNI-WiFi has developed a Managed Services model for many of our RV and campground customers, which in some cases may satisfy your needs more economically and efficiently than purchasing equipment outright. User demand for high-speed, reliable Wi-Fi has increased dramatically in the last two years, as many guests are conducting business from their RVs - or in other outdoor settings - and depend on seamless connectivity, which can be challenging in shared environments when the landscape may change because of local interference, changes in park design, or simply shifts in size and location of RVs or other vehicles. With the Managed Services model, our clients are responsible for the initial installation fees, plus monthly maintenance fees based on the number of users at their sites. As part of Managed Services, OMNI-WiFi is responsible on an ongoing basis for the equipment, as well as close monitoring of changes in bandwidth requirements and the provision of responsive technical and guest support.
OMNI-WiFi can manage the Wi-Fi services and the sometimes complex technical issues unique to your location, such as:
- Negotiating with bandwidth providers to order the broadband and manage the broadband fees and bills for your site;
- Periodically monitoring and servicing the site as necessary when broadband or other issues arise. As the Wi-Fi service provider, we can contact the broadband provider when necessary;
- Designing and installing state-of-the art Wi-Fi systems ourselves, instead of shipping systems to be installed by others;
- Drafting with management a reasonable expectation for guests who use
Wi-Fi and ensuring that guests are made aware of this expectation
based on available bandwidth from the provider. For example, many
RV parks and campgrounds do not allow wireless gaming or video
uploads or web cams so users are informed via a splash page of what
services to expect and what not to expect when they log in to the
system;
- Answering guest phone calls regarding individual Wi-Fi problems through a toll-free number that the guests may call if they are having difficulties; and
- Fixing the system within a reasonable budget and a reasonable amount of time when storms hit or unforeseen events the Wi-Fi system offline.
These managed installations have been widely successful, with multi-year contracts and including standard upgrades. The goals of utilizing as few wireless access points as possible and maximizing the performance of these WAPs hold especially true in challenging outdoor, shared environments.
