About OMNI-WiFi
Incorporated in early 2005, OMNI-WiFi develops 802.11 Wi-Fi compliant transmitters, repeaters and client-premises equipment (CPE) that integrate existing wireless protocols and wireless hardware in a unique, advanced architecture. OMNI-WiFi’s wireless equipment is able to generate higher output and achieve longer ranges of Wi-Fi connectivity through special, patented integrations of hardware and firmware.
Since 2004, OMNI-WiFi has focused on WiFi technology, designing innovative, proprietary products to provide high-speed Internet access in rural areas where wired services are not readily available. Philip Hahn, founder and CTO, has applied technical expertise gained from his prior development of computer/radio technology for Motorola C&E in the 1990s to send computer data over 2-way radios. OMNI-WiFi now designs full-duplex, repeater systems that significantly reduce the need for line-of-sight topography in 802.11 Internet access systems. Through the elimination of distance and line-of-sight obstacles, these systems can reach rural clusters previously unable to benefit from broadband Internet connectivity.
In addition to rural markets in North America, OMNI-WiFi is concentrating on developing wireless equipment for specific vertical markets including the hospitality technology industry, the growing Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) sector, and various security sectors, including wireless video transmission for commercial applications in farming and ranching, public safety, gaming, entertainment, and others. By allowing scalable power output to match various international standards, OMNI-WiFi’s products are producing significant interest in the international WISP sector. These new products have advanced the state of the art for 802.11 Wi-Fi and positioned OMNI-WiFi in a leading competitive performance-per-dollar position against other emerging wireless technologies.
With installations in over 30 states and Canada—as well as 14 foreign countries and territories—OMNI-WiFi’s customer base is growing rapidly.
